Spring 2012 Update- Coming soon!! Fall 2011 Update- I lost 12lbs in the Summer 5% Challenge, just short of my 5% goal but I'm so not complaining! I lost 12 lbs in 8 weeks!! Fantastic! Since then, I've slacked a little and, of course, life has "gotten in the way" (how can that be!) so I'm ready to start the Fall 5% Challenge!! This time around I have 13lbs to lose in 8 weeks and after the last challenge, I know I can do it!! July 2011 Update- I feel it is time for a little Spark revamping =) I've been active here for 6 months and lost just over 11 pounds, and while I'm taking every pound lost as a victory I know I need to be doing better. Yes, I'm moving more & eating better but I have not pushed myself...yet! Starting July 16, 2011 I will begin the 5% Summer Challenge! The plan is to lose 14 pounds in 8 weeks, which is 1.75 pounds a week- pretty intimating but not impossible. I am going to PUSH myself & I am going to do this =D And now the basics... I am a proud curvy girl but I'm tired of feeling fat. A bit about me- I'm 25 (which gives plenty of time to reach my goal), happily married with two rescued furbabies. While they are true loves, I really want (& need) to get my weight & health in check to one day carry a child of my own. I work at the local University & love my desk job but it is exactly that- 40+ hours of sitting a week. I tend to eat well enough at work (always get all my water!) but dinners with the hubby sabotage me every night & while I'm being honest here, we eat out several times a week. Of course, I have my (reasonable) excuses why but nonetheless, it is unacceptable for someone who needs to lose weight. I long to learn how to cook. & I have fallen in love with everything SparkPeople has to offer.

My Goals:
*Fall 5% Challenge Update* -Jazzercise 3x/week. -Do some sort of activity on non-Jazz days -Abstain from my #1 trigger dinner during the entire challenge. (see blog) -Focus more on water & less on Diet Dr. Pepper -Do my best every day & forgive myself when it doesn't go so well -Never, never give up! Weight loss goals: *Weigh under 250 *Lose 50lbs *Weigh under 200
My Program:
First & foremost- GET MOVING! Watch what I'm eating. I love to eat so at this point, I'm not looking to eat less but eat healthier. Dinner is the hardest for me to stay on track. *Update: Buying a food scale & going to start measuring EVERYTHING! No more eyeballing!!
