Burn 2500 - 3200 calories on the Elliptical or with some other aerobic type workout every week and work in Strength Training whenever possible. ( I will have to increase strength training later on)
Eat 1200 to 1300 calories a day with at least 50 - 70 grams of protein but I also cheat a little on the weekends :)
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I never loved running but wanted to do a 5k and obviously did! Now I have a 2month old and its hard to log the running hours. We walk a lot but hopefully in the next few months I can get back to running.
Thanks for the comment on my blog! Yes, I did use the C25K program to get started and I'm pretty amazed with the results. I used to just do what I could with running, when I felt like it (which wasn't much). With the program, you're supposed to run three times a week and the whole workout is 30 minutes in the beginning (including warm up and cool down) and you work up to 40 minutes, so it's an easy time to fit into your day. The first few weeks gradually increase run time and really ease you into things. I strongly recommend the program, particularly if you have a smart phone! And don't worry if you only run once or twice some weeks, it's all about finishing the program, not feeling pressured to do it in 9 weeks. I think I started it in April lol
