Finding myself by losing 1 pound at a time!

I haven't been on Spark in awhile and at times I've given up on my weight loss. However coming back here and see that I was 284 when I set up this page shocked me! Although that was over a year ago its a HUGE eye opener. If I can lose 28 pounds then why can't I keep going? I just turned 30 and I want to be happy with my life. I'm so sick of thinking everybody is looking at the fat girl and how nasty she looks. The huge eye opener for me was when I went to an assument park a few weeks back. My friend wanted to be in the front row of a roller coaster. After a few min. of not the coaster not taking off I was asked to change seats or get off the ride because I was to big for the front row. I have never been more embarressed in my life. The hurt, embarresment & ton of other emotion rolling through my head at the moment was horrible. But I did this to myself. And I will make it right. I will love myself. I will show my daughters that with hard work you can do anything. And most important I will show them to love themselves. Something that I am working on myself.

Today I logged back in after stepping on the scale for the 1st time in almost 7 months. I was in TOTAL shock at the number I saw. In less then 7 months I have GAINED 24 pounds. How the hell does this happen? Well I know how it happened but why would I allow it to? I am so beyond ashamed of myself! I could go on and on with excuses from stress, to my dads health, to my kids being sick. BUT I'm done with making excuses! This is for real. This is MY life and I'm taking it back!

Popping by from the blue Believer's page. I was going over week 1 measurements and saw a sad face.

Don't be sad hun! Remember -- down is down! Even .2 is down! At least you didn't gain, you're giong in the right direction! Best thing you can do if you're stressing about it is to review what you did/didn't do last week. Maybe you can find a common denominator on weeks you don't feel successful, and work on that!

I lost 4.5 pounds then gained 3.8 of it back, so I feel your pain - but after being honest on my food tracker I know why. Just keep pushing!
