Hi, My name is Lori. I live in Northeast Wisconsin. I am (yikes) 48 years old and have a husband and 2 children. My children are age 21 and 22. My husband and I are pretty much empty nesters except we have a dog - a little Cockapoo, KoKo who is 13 years loved, and temporarily, a kitten, Kit Kat (which is actually my daughters kitten). (Update: It appears Kit Kat may be permanent.)
4 years ago I broke my ankle (ice skating). Before that I exercised a little, but not much. Funny, it took a broken ankle to get me going, but after that I joined a Wellness Center, started running, lifting weights and joined a spin class. Now I am trying to run competitively and will run my first actual triathlon this summer ('09). I have done two mini triathlons so far to see how I will do. I learned that I need to learn to swim. So, that is what I am working on now! (Update: still trying to learn how to swim.)
My goal is to loose 15 pounds overall, 5 pounds at a time. I originally lost 33 pounds to get to my goal weight, but put 17 back on and now I am working on getting it back off!! (Update: Now I'm trying to loose 20 pounds - argh!)

My Goals:
I had planned to compete in a triathalon this summer (2009), but sprained my pelvis when I ran the Bellin in Green Bay as part of training. I didn't even know you could sprain your pelvis. Anyway I was told it takes longer to heal than a broken ankle to which I can compare because now I have had both!!

My Program:
I am eating a lot of fruit and veggies. I have also started training for my first triathlon!! Yup, still training.

I actually love to read Stephen King books. I also love ABBA. Always have. Even when I was a kid and it was very uncool. :-)
