My Goals:
Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life.

I want to be as healthy as I can be at age 67.

I want to lose weight to a goal my doctor has set for me.

My Program:
Eat Wisely!

Move More!

Live fully in each day!

Show Love and Kindness!

Trust!

Pray!

Personal Information:
I grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Ohio now. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force.
I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!.
I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.

Other Information:
My Mantra -
Believe in Miracles.
Forgive everyone.
Life is not fair, but it is good.

My Other Mantra:
What doesn't kill you just doesn't kill you!

And we all should read this:
If every morning, You can find a reason to say,
Yes, its going to be a beautiful day.
And every day, you find a reason to say,
Yes, it is a beautiful day.
And every night, you find a reason to say,
Yes, it was a beautiful day.
Then one day, Youll look back and easily say,
Yes...it was a beautiful life.

Exercise does not get in the way of your life, it adds to your quality of life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rules of Chocolate Easter Eggs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
Diet tip: Eat an Easter egg before each meal.
It'll take the edge off your appetite, and that way you'll eat less.
If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?
If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.
Money talks. Chocolate sings.
Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.
The problem: How to get two pounds of chocolate eggs home from the store in a hot car.
The solution: Eat the eggs in the car park.
Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
Because no one wants to quit.
It's never a question "Can you?", it's always a question "Will you?"
Make today your day, take a baby step towards a healthier body and a healthier brain... emoticon
