I'm a Lime, I'm a lime, I'm a LOVELY LIME!!! Actually now I'm a Lovely Lime STAR...(Who hasn't always wanted to be a star?)

I'm currently participating in the BLC as a LOVELY LIME and now I have joined a 5% challenge as a Shooting Star so now I am a LOVELY LIME SHOOTING STAR!!

The Limes summer challenge is Mission Slimpossible and I'm still determined to find some ways to spark some weight loss during the challenge. I'm hoping the Shooting Stars will be throwing off those sparks that I need to start losing again and I will be working hard in both challenges. A 5% loss would be 7-8 lbs so I hope I can do it. The 5% challenge is shorter, only 8 weeks, both will start on July 1 which should work out great.

I'm double teaming against the pounds! Can't forget my wonderful 100 days of Weight Loss with Linda Spangle team either! That book and the team have changed my life.

I've been working to live IN each day! It is way too easy for me to allow a day to disappear into busyness without taking any time to savor life.

I've lost weight with TOPS, SparkPeople, my SparkFriends, and the LIMES but I'm not yet where I need to be. I love the support that I get from all my Sparkfriends and teams, but I have to say that to have a 28 member team that is consistently supportive of each member and have the participation, caring and sharing that we have on the LIMES is a rare and beautiful thing.

I enjoy the Sparkpeople 30-day challenges too; I'm now repeating some of my special favorites.

This summer I am also joining the 5% Challenges as a Shooting Star. I'll continue No S and moderate carb eating and stay within my Spark calorie range. I'll also walk at least 2 miles 5 days a week and do some strength training every day.

Basically I'm just not quitting! I'm still trying to live mindfully and to be as healthy as possible.

Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life. I want to be as healthy as I can be at age "almost seventy". I want to lose weight to a goal my doctor has set for me.

Eat Wisely! Live fully in each day! Show Love and Kindness! Trust! Pray!



Personal Information:
I grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Ohio now. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force. I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!. I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.

    It sounds like we both have the same idea on the nite time tea and chocolate.
    I have learned to like Linders Chocolate with Sea Salt. Not sure I spelled that right.
    Anyhow just a touch of salt adds so much flavor and since I use NO salt in my cooking..
    hmmm now I am thinking I need to check that label out!! But it is goood!

    My PM tea is indeed the way to wrap the evening up. My pups even know when Mom makes her cuppa it is almost bedtime!
