Working to live IN each day! It is way too easy for me to allow a day to disappear into busyness without taking any time to savor life.
I've lost weight with TOPS and SparkPeople but I'm not yet where I need to be. I love the support that I get from my Sparkfriends and teams.
I enjoy the Sparkpeople challenges and am a member of the BLC challenge team Lovely Limes.
Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life. I want to be as healthy as I can be at age "almost seventy". I want to lose weight to a goal my doctor has set for me.

I grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Ohio now. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force. I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!. I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.
My Mantra - Believe in Miracles. Forgive everyone. Life is not fair, but it is good. My Other Mantra: What doesn't kill you just doesn't kill you! ~~ ~How to Keep a Healthy Level of Insanity~ ~~
1. Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat.
2. In the memo field of all your checks, write 'for sexual favors."
3. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party
because you're not in the mood.
4. When the money comes out of the ATM, scream "I Won!", "I Won!"
5. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot,
yelling "Run for your lives, they're loose!".
6. Sing along at the opera.
7. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.
8..Tell your children over dinner "Due to the economy,
we're going to have to let one of you go".
9. Every time you see a broom yell "Honey, your mother is here".
10. "Hi-lite" your shoes. Tell people that you haven't lost your shoes since you did this.
11. Pick up a box of condoms at the pharmacy, go to the counter and ask where the fitting room is.
