HELLO ALL,

WELCOME! to my Spark Page.

Come, sit down and have a cup of tea while we get to know each other!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Spring has arrived!!
Time to get cracking again with those exercises and a good diet routine.

I have a couple of bible verses to share with you today:

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it"

and also:

Philippians 3:13-15

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;

Keep pressing on...keep on reaching for the goals that are set before you and me. With God's help we can do this!

    Hello Sue!

Same here - craziness. I thought of you when I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep for the longest time. I've been dragging myself around all day and everything take so much effort! Blech! Hoping to sleep better tonight. It will be an early one. emoticon

Hi Sue! Nice to hear from your and happy to be your SparkFriend under both my accounts. :)
I still use my original SheenaDee account for most of my personal stuff, tracking, teams, etc. But, Spark_Merle was created for my work account so I can keep them separate. So, when I reply to people's technical site questions as Spark_Merle, it's an "official" response.

I hope you have been well. Again, good to hear from you and I'm glad you are still active here.

    Hello there!

Sorry I was AWOL yesterday. It wasn't planned. And just to let you know, I may not be on tomorrow either. Mom and I are going to church, then lunch at her facility, and then my sister is coming to visit, which only happens a few times a year. So we may be visiting for a while. When I get home, I'll be bushed.

You know, I find that emotional stuff wears me out WAY more than physical stuff. Physical movement makes me feel strong and more energetic. Like this morning I couldn't wait to get outside for a walk. And I may take another one later. The last two days at the gym I really got some sweating done, which hadn't been happening before. I have taken my incline and resistance up one notch on the elliptical per my friend Sue, in Washington. Great advice! I've also added 20 minutes to my workout using other machines. I'm hoping to keep that up. On some of the machines that require leg muscles only, I am able to read, and that makes the time go by quickly.

I hope you're feeling better today. It's awful not to sleep well. When that happens, be gentle with yourself the next day. Give your body time to rest. With my aches and pains, something I find helpful is to sleep in the recliner (not all night - just from after I wake up with pain till the alarm goes off - usually 2 hours). It has to been the angle of the chair, but I usually get 100% relief within 5 to 10 minutes of getting in the chair. I'm grateful for that.

Your potluck sounded great. I love taco salad but don't often think to make it. Good idea bringing food you can control the content of. Today I'm going to make another batch of vegetable barley ragout and send some home with my sister. She's vegan and always looking for new recipes. I would call her collection of vegan cookbooks a library.

May the hope and promises of our Lord's resurrection bring you peace and excitement! He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and HE IS RISEN!

    Hi Sister! emoticon
I must have just missed you yesterday, but I really enjoyed reading your note today. You were so bubbly! You know how dogs can be so happy to see someone that when they wag their tail, their whole body wiggles? That's what you sounded like. I loved it!

We will have washing of the feet on Thursday, and a Good Friday service as well. Saturday evening will be the Easter Vigil mass, but Mom and I will go on Sunday morning. We'll have lunch together at her assisted living facility, and then my sister is coming for a visit in the afternoon. It will be a nice day.

I love the Lord! Sometimes I just have to say it! I'm giving God a emoticon
I'm so in awe and so grateful that God not only created us, and loved us, but also that He loved us SO MUCH he just couldn't let us die in our sin. We were so important to Him that he sent His son to be sin for us, to be our Passover Lamb, the Lamb of God! It doesn't get any better than that. My heart is melting.

Love you, Sister! God bless you! emoticon

Good Morning! I did take a computer vacation yesterday. Not on purpose. It just kind of worked out that way. I'm glad you got your berries in. Can't wait to see the pics. We had rainstorms most of yesterday, which takes the energy right out of me. Dark and dreary.

Today is cooler, and overcast, but at least it isn't raining. Grass, trees and bushes are starting to green up nicely. I need to uncover my air conditioning unit, get my winter gear stashed in the shed, and ready my lawn mower for duty.

Yesterday I watched a movie of Christ's life based on the book of Luke. Have you ever seen The Passion by Mel Gibson? I have a copy of that film. I think I'll watch that some time this week, too. Very powerful. And then we have liturgies at church on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Easter season reminds me of who I am in Christ, who my family is, who my Creator is. I love it.

Well, I'm off to catch up on my email, then balance my checkbook. Wish me luck! emoticon
