Welcome to Week 8 of the Summer 5% challenge! I truly enjoyed this journey with you. Take a moment to reflect and think about where you are today. Have you made some healthy living improvements? Have you started some new healthy habits? Remember, improvement is motivation. Your body hears everything your mind says so stay positive throughout your journey. Finally, if you want it, work for it! It's that simple! Hope to see you during the 5% In Between Challenge and/or during the Fall 5% Challenge.

I typed a marvelous response to your comment, and then deleted it by accident.

What a wonderful inscription and experience. I still love to read children's literature. At one point my boys had well over a thousand books. On September 21 I will be reading Fall is Not Easy by Marty Kelley. September 26 is my birthday, so I will be reading Johnny Appleseed. John Chapman and I share the same birthday.

I worked in a kindergarten for 3 years. The teacher was rarely in the room. I ended up teaching math, computers, and alphabet cooking. It was a win-win as teacher's method of teaching was color, cut, and paste peppered with yelling and berating. There were beautiful math manipulatives that she had never used. How much more fun and relevant it was for the children to use counters, blocks, Judy clocks, realistic money, etc. for the lessons. Oh we had a grand time.

Now I get my kid fix by being on the Wee Worship rotation at my church. I also run the craft program for Breakfast With Santa for the school district I work at.
