I''m rewriting all of this because it''s time once again to rewrite myself... So to speak. My name is still Melissa though. ðŸ˜‰ðŸ˜‰
Some stuff is still true. I was overweight pretty much all my life. I have learned that it was for many reasons, some emotional and some due likely to food allergies and intolerances. (Please, if you feel weird or sick or something disagrees with you up to 6 hours after you eat it, it could be an allergy or intolerance. That can lead to bloating and weight gain. Sometimes I wonder about the pounds I wasted...)
Fast forward to finding spark, a new relationship with food and a healthy lifestyle, and with that happiness with myself. Once I found that, I found love. With that love came my beautiful little girl who just turned one.
Therein lies the problem. Since I had my daughter, my health has been a roller coaster. Pregnancy was cake. Loved it! A month after she was born I ended up in icu with some unusual post pregnancy high blood pressure thing that almost killed me. (If you''ve seen Downton Abbey, you know what I''m talking about.) then my seizures returned thanks to my hormonal shifts. (I have nocturnal epilepsy.) it''s not exactly easy to keep losing the baby weight when you''re hair tying to learning how to be a mom, go back to work, and be a wife. (Oh yeah, I spontaneously got married on New Years Eve, after my now husband proposed on Christmas Day in the ER when I was once again in the hospital, that time with pneumonia.) It has been a wild year, and with the crazy of that come stagnant weight.
So I am back. Tomorrow, August 16, 2015, I start a new exercise class (Cardio Barre) a gift from my husband, because he knows I want to feel better and that if I don''t get out, I won''t do it for myself. I have 10 pounds left to get to pre-baby. (Yep there it is in writing.) I have been stuck at the same weight for months. Something has to change. It''s time I do this for me, once again. I have everything to gain expect the weight... I just have to go one step at a time. ðŸ’•
Get back to tracking so I can lose the last of the baby weight and get back into my size 6 skinny jeans. My current size 8 will not do!
Currently, my program is to manage my eating while paying attention to my food allergies.

A bunch of random stuff I like:
I like to look at art and make art. I love to listen to music, especially if it's live. I like to read (biographies and pretty much anything). I love fashion; I like to make my own things and have since had to buy a new dress form since joining spark! :) I love movies and have about 400 dvds. I depend on the ones that make me laugh the most. That's all I can think of. Anything else you want to know, just ask.
