68 years old and at least 56 more pounds to lose ...Half our county calls me "Miss Linda" from my nursing and daycare work for 26 years retiring in 2011...Happily married for 38+ years...Have a beautiful 36 yr old daughter...Time to get healthier I'm wanting to be a good example for her as well as healthy for life.
Intro to Sparks in 11/09; Health efforts escalated following two heart stentss on May 23rd, 2014. Then 5/15 I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and peripheral neuropathy and told to prepare for life in wheel chair. Dec 1 2015 I had 8.5 hour spinal surgery and back reconstruction but am gradually coming back in strength, mobility and mental abilities ...will see how far this improves but am so thankful I am not in a wheelchair yet and not wearing diapers as first doctor predicted. Most of my efforts were in strength, endurance and mobility areas until I met my goal of walking a 5K with two canes 6/18/16. Then began an all out effort to lose weight and maintain this level of mobility.
With my return to Sparks I am decreasing # of teams and will also decrease some friends due to memory loss and trying to not overload the mental aspects of my day. Periodic challenges are good for my learning curves and finally beginning to see some success.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! About that 'bring something into the house, take something out' -- sometimes that works! I just donated a bag of things from a closet and a few things in another bag with some household items. All together, two large shopping bags of 'stuff' and a kitchen bag full of fabric scraps and pieces. emoticon

Thanks for the fruit basket, Linda! I miss you on the CWfibro page. You are always such an encouragement. The fatigue/exhaustion is also the biggest complaint I have. Just don't seem to have any energy to do anything. I did not go on the elimination diet...yet. I am just so overwhelmed with all of it. I did try to go gluten free back when my mom was diagnosed with celiac. I was on that for about two months, but didn't really notice benefit. I was thinking of trying dairy-free, but I love my milk and yogurt so much....ugh. I'm glad you are finding benefit with your diet. I pray better days ahead! Jenni
