SparkPeople is so inspirational! Saturday, my husband & daughter joined me as I walked 5,577 steps to fundraise in the Posada Candlelight AIDS Walk in Pasadena! I told my daughter that I was "Old School Walking" and she LOL!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by and visiting my spark page. In answer to your question, I love this site! I do have a tendency to lurk a bit (not always posting blogs or getting back to people right away) BUT in terms of monitoring my fitness and goals I have found SP to be the most helpful thing I have ever encountered. Unlike a gym or a program, it is in my home. On my computer. I have no excuse like bad weather or distance to keep me from exercising at least a little bit everyday. They even have fitness videos on here. And they give you the tools to maintain your goals once you have reached them. I just finished the Better Sleep challenge and it has helped. And everyone here is very supportive. just an all round good site.

Hello, Thank you for visiting and commenting on my Sparkpage. It is nice to meet you. I absolutely LOVE Curves. I love that it is set out for you and that you are in control. I love that I don't have to think too hard when I go in there. I just pick a starting point on the wheel of workout (that's what I call it) and go. I do the circle twice and I am out. The ladies are all very welcoming and kind and they seem like they really get to know each other. They even do outside Curves get togethers like movies and Saturday brunches. I am having the time of my life. I do not know if all Curves everywhere are offering the same deals but the one I go to here in Ohio is starting a reduced sign up fee as of Sept 6th instead of the usual $149 fee it is only going to be $30's to start and $34 a month after that. They also have a college student deal that is $99 for 4 months so it is like getting a month for free. I also know that once you join Curves you can go to ANY Curves ANYWHERE in ANY country. Our owner went to Japan for a personal thing and while she was there she found a Curves and worked out in it for no extra cost. That is so cool. So if you go on vacation and there is a Curves nearby you can still get your work out! Well I hope I have answered your question? Come by my page anytime. I was born in California.

emoticon Hope you are doing fine! I'm thrilled it is SPRINGTIME. emoticon

I've been reading "The BECK Diet Solution" which isn't a "diet" book at all, but how to change your THINKING and learn to think like a THIN person. I recommend the book as Dr. Beck teaches how to stay motivated. Here are some reasons to tell yourself that you WANT to keep going:

1. I値l look better.
2. I値l be more attractive.
3. I値l be able to wear a smaller size.
4. I値l be able to wear nicer clothes.
5. I値l like what I see in the mirror.
6. I won稚 feel so self-conscious.
7. I値l be healthier.
8. I値l be able to exercise without discomfort.
9. I値l live longer.
10. I値l feel better.
11. I値l have more energy.
12. I値l be fitter.
13. I may actually have romance in my life!
14. I値l like myself more.
15. I値l feel like I致e achieved something important.
16. I値l be MORE CONFIDENT.
17. I値l have more self-esteem.
18. I値l be less self-critical.
19. I値l be more outgoing.
20. I値l do more things!
21. I won稚 have to listen to anyone commenting on what I知 eating.
22. I won稚 have anybody bugging me re: my weight.
