It is good to be back! The rheumatologist appointment so long awaited was good news. The auto immune numbers were nothing to worry about! So now it is back to routine. Yoga, some exercise and careful diet. Happily, I do not need any medications other than supplements! (Unusual for an octagenarian) With Sparks help, my BP and cholesterol are back to normal and the doctor's don't think I need to lose any weight. It is good to be back! The rheumatologist appointment so long awaited was good news. The auto immune numbers were nothing to worry about! So now it is back to routine. Yoga, some exercise and careful diet. Happily, I do not need any medications other than supplements! (Unusual for an octagenarian) With Sparks help, my BP and cholesterol are back to normal and the doctor's don't think I need to lose any weight. However, I think we know our bodies best and I feel better when I weigh a few pounds less. At 5' 10" I can carry the weight, but my knees and hips say "thank you" when I lose a few pounds. I intend to stay with Sparks and continue tracking and exercising! It is too easy to slip back into old habits without careful monitoring.

My Goals:
My goals consist of losing enough weight to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol: Improve my balance and mobility with exercise and generally feel better about myself.
My Program:
For the time being, I am just tracking my food intake and taking my supplements. After an appointiment with the specialist in June I will figure out a new regime.
Other Information:
I am an avid reader and spend time gardening. Trying to grow herbs and vegetables in the desert climate is a challenge but I am making some progress.
