2012 Sparkpage: I have now been out of work for 15 months, I don't know where the time goes. My goal when I lost my job was to hit the gym everyday and also to go back to weight watchers. 2012 Sparkpage: I have now been out of work for 15 months, I don't know where the time goes. My goal when I lost my job was to hit the gym everyday and also to go back to weight watchers. I went to the gym once in awhile but just to use the treadmill. I was intimidated by the other equipment. The gym staff shows you how to use everything one time then you are pretty much on your own. I had lost 40 lbs on weightwatchers 5 years ago but once life started coming at me with my mother's death, and my divorce the weight started coming back and brought 10 more pounds with it. I have gone back several more times but just couldn't get into it, I needed something but wan't sure what. One day last month I was very depressed and thought as a last resort I would call Get in Shape for Women. It is a complete plan with diet and workouts with trainers. Although it is very expensive I felt I had no other choice, so I pulled out my credit card and joined for 6months. In spite of losing one week due to eye surgery and now a second week due to being sick I have lost 5 lbs and feel fantastic. I would prefer to lose 5 pounds per week, but now I know I'm doing it the right way and I'm very motivated and once I get a full month in without some sort of distraction I can really get rolling. If I don't do this now, I never will. I will be 56 (argh!) in March and want to have at least 20-25 pounds gone. I am learning more everyday and am trying to do the best I can and pray that I can be a better person each day.
