I have been using SparkPeople consistently since August of 2009 and have lost 54 pounds. Amazing. My eating habits have changed drastically and now I really crave healthy and nutritious food instead of chocolate and cookies. Working out has been key to my program both physically and mentally. There is no question that exercise produces endorphins and boosts your metabolism. It has helped me become more balanced and positive. I do both cardio and strength training and try to mix it up because doing the elliptical every day can get old. I take yoga, spinning, walk and bike outdoors and generally try to live an active life. That is, when I am not on Sparkpeople or Facebook, ha! I credit logging in my food as a huge help in the beginning and I now go back to that when I feel myself slipping. I also log in my fitness and it feels great to look back and see what I have accomplished over a period of time. There is no question that anyone can do this with some motivation and the support of SparkPeople.

My Goals:
I'd like to be fit and lose about another 25 lbs.

My Program:
I am doing cardio 5 to 6 times a week, weight training 2 to 3 times a week, core class twice weekly. I am eating 4 to 5 small meals daily and trying to stay within my suggested calorie range. I am eating fruits, veggies, high fiber foods, lean chicken and fish. Also taking Nordic Naturals Omega 3D and Amazing Grass Greens Superfood. I love to make fruit and green smoothies in my vitamix.
