Wow! I have an ileostomy also. Got mine in 4/06 and still trying to get over it. I can eat anything from fruits, nut, veggies, anything you can think of and I look like it also. When I could finally eat, I made up for lost time after getting the bag. Also so sad I had to do it, that made me eat also. Now I am trying to get back inshape....trianing to walk in a 1/2 Marathon here in Houston, tx. The sweat makes it hard on the wafers when outside exercising. It is so hard to get motivated at times and stick with it. I heard someone say that when you don't have a colon, you are more hungary all the time because the food moves thru faster??? I think I gain faster than before...
take care and keep working at it! Laura Beth 3351 days ago
