Consistency, Control and Moderation...

I am setting goals and determined to achieve them this year. I am determined to be 40, fit and FABULOUS!! Hi everyone my name is Kim. This weightloss journey was extremely difficult in the beginning. I have been on and off this wagon so many times over the last 6 years. This time was extremely different. I got a awake up call when I saw the scale at 193. Seeing 193 lbs my mind automatically said " 7 lbs from 200, OH NO!!! This has got to stop." From that day forward my mind set completely changed and I was determined to get on this wagon and ride it to end. I have made pit stops along the way and letting a week go by with no progress on the scale. But that's ok, because I didn't want to do anything drastic and deprive myself of the foods that I like in moderation. On a whole, I do not eat like I used to. No more steak and cheese and onion rings at work. No more chips everyday and pepsi's every night. I do not crave soda's like I use to and I eat a few chips here and there. When it's a birthday at work I still have cake, but I make sure I workout when I get home. My family and I have cut out eating out considerably and when I do, I make healtheir food choices. When I do decide I am going to eat unhealthy I immediately think what damage is this going to do to my progress. I have defintely increased my works per week. The types of workouts that I do varies from day to day making sure I have a variety. I have never been so focused on losing weight as I am right now. I have not become addicted to working out because I like it, I'm addicted because I like the results that I am seeing. Everytime I get a compliment, I wanna run and workout some more LOL. Coming this far is a first for me and I feel so proud of myself. I can't wait till the summer comes and I put on the clothes that's been hanging in the my closet for the last 3 summers unworn. Summer 2010 is going to be a whole nother story and I can't wait to tell it. See ya at the finish line.

Short term: Drink at least 9 glasses of water a day. Work out at least 4 days a week. Long Term: Fit into all my old jeans. Size 10 pants Become Tone and Goal weight 160ish (for now).
