My Journey With My Lap Band

I am 50 years old and was banded on November 9, 2007 I did great for the first 18 months and fell off the wagon. I am back amd ready to finish this journey and get this weight off once and for all. UPDATE: On March 12 2012 I had to have my Lap Band removed due to complications. I am now without the band and determined as ever to get the weight off once and for all! I have all the tools I need inside of me, my will and determination and by the grace of God I will succeed!

My Goals:
My biggest goal is to be under 200 pounds!

My next goal after that is to be 170 pounds.

I believe that I will let my body decide where it is most comfortable!

My Program:
I work out religiously! I do Zumba three times a week for 60 minutes. I am doing Body Pump at least twice a week and shoot for three! I also swim laps and walk/run 3.5 or 5.25 miles at least 4 times a week!

Personal Information:
I live in Central Illinois. I work in Health Care. I am going to school for my Bachelors in Health Information Management; I am married for 32 years, I have a beautiful daughter Nichole who is my workout buddy and two beautiful grandsons Adam and Cole ages 8 and 5!

Other Information:
I love to read anything that Nicholas Sparks writes. I love movies, all kinds! I love being out doors, and I love Chicago and the life it affords everyone, there is so much to do there, It is like a diamond in the rough!

Hey lady! Thanks for your comment on my blog! I believe in you!!! I was 240 lbs. when I started running...and it was only about 6 weeks ago that I really started. If that isn't convincing enough for you...you should know that my personal trainer, ON2VICTORY, ran his first race (a 10k) when he was 330 lbs.

It can be done, darling.
