Knitting a Better Me

After 50+ years of frustrated attempts, my real life began on February 24, 2013. Knitting even the largest and most intricate and beautiful items is accomplished the same as knitting the small, easy items--one stitch at a time. This is not a journey to weight loss; it is a journey about choosing life one day at a time.

"Don't take a clock on this journey, take a compass. It's the direction you're moving in that matters, not the time it takes to get there."

My Goals:
Improved well-being, and serenity in my life.

KEEPING IT POSITIVE!

Becoming a kinder, gentler, better me.

Building muscle and losing fat.

My Program:
Making more healthful choices, one meal at a time. I focus on whole foods, legumes, fresh organic produce, organic meat.

3 days a week I follow the simple 3-0-1 plan: THREE healthy meals in normal portions a day, NOTHING in between (snacks do NOT work for me!), ONE day at a time! I eat only within an 8 hour window, from 9:30am to 5:30pm and that's it.

The other 4 days per week I follow a hybrid but simple Intermittent Fasting/Interval Feeding plan that is also calorie and carb cycling. I am timing when I eat, not starving. Big difference.

IN IT TO WIN IT, ONE DAY AT A TIME!

Personal Information:
57 year old with multiple health disabilities and challenges.

I knit. I love to knit. I am an artist and I love color.

I love my furry, four legged animal companions dearly.

I share my heart and a home with my partner of 22 wonderful years!

Other Information:
Don't knock someone else's plan of eating. It has taken me years to finally find something that works for me! And if I hadn't done lots of experimenting all those years ago, and took copious notes of what did and didn't work, I wouldn't have finally found something that is really working for me for now.

I love your blog..and your beautiful knitting!! Your TOPS success is so inspiring. We're chomping at the bit to know what a typical food day would be for you on IF. Low carb? Low calorie? Both?? I was thinking of joining TOPS at one time but when I talked to a leader it sounded like they had their own food plan, sorta like WW, which I wasn't sure I wanted...

Thanks for your posts!! You're the best!! Spark on!! emoticon

Thanks for the note, my friend. I am sorry to be so long responding but I have had a bit of a virus for 36 hrs and am just getting back to SParking well now. AM nearly ready to start my shutdown, tea and meds for the night, so will get back to you hopefully tomorrow if I still feel as well as I do now. Thanks for the post to my page and I welcome a friendship with you,

Hugs, Gini emoticon

New friends can become old friends without much time. I read your post about wanting to have friends to chat with so I am here whenever you are free. Check out my page.
