Shake What Ya Mama Gave You

Not happy about where my weight is heading. I lost a total of 55 pounds several years ago, but my weight has been bouncing up and down ever since. Right now it's the highest it's been in almost 6 years and I'm not pleased. Time to do something about it!

My weight loss blog is at www.kellyim10.blogspot.com.

Thanks for the blog comment! I bet there's huge differences between Brown and the Y. But I'll take quiet over loud chattiness any day. Your comment reminded me of one I forgot... people who don't lock their lockers. If they don't mind getting their stuff stolen, that's fine with me. But it's always a little disturbing to open a locker with no lock on it and find someone else's personal and private belongings staring at me. I learned my lesson a number of years ago when I left a pair of boots out and they got stolen. I was pissed, but it was really my own fault. I now carry two combination locks in my bag. Why two? That's funny. Someone left a perfectly good lock, with the combination sticker still on the back, on the bench in the locker room. When it was still there after my workout, I took it.

Why did she leave them on the bench by your locker? Who knows... maybe she was just forgetful.

Haha, "keep talking talky person" I loved that! I did take the Myers Briggs test and I'm an ISTJ. I have a feeling that the S means I easily experience sensory overload, which would explain why I hate crowds and close spaces so much. The T is definitely logical and the J means I like to have rules, or at least some organized plan, to follow.

I can deal with chatty clients. One on one I'm not too bad and I've had lots of practice at getting people to cut to the chase without completely insulting them. The schmoozing at events is a problem. I've been trying to confine my schmoozing to small events with specialized agendas, ie, particular topics being discussed at a section meeting at the local bar office. That way I already know what the conversation will consist of and there's not much need for small talk. It's the big gala type stuff that I really can't stand and will avoid as much as possible. I always want to collapse after stuff like that too.

Thanks for the blog comment last week. I do love my natural peanut butter! I like almond butter too. No costco though. However, when I started grinding my own almond flour in a coffee grinder, I was told that if you grind it too long, it starts to turn to butter. Maybe I should try that sometime!

Thanks for your comment. I learned yesterday that the only strokes where you are supposed to exhale the whole time is breast and back, because you can breathe in any time. Made sense to me. My freestyle was a lot better today, although the new rhythm is taking a while to get used to. I have to make sure I exhale in time so my inhale is not too late.
