I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity ...

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

Thank you for the comments. I've used medicine ball & foam roller for back massages. It helps a lot. Take care of it, you only have one. Also, if you have FB, feel free to look me up-Chris Shortbus Captain Araza. I'll add you👍

Instead of focusing on weight loss, focus on eating healthy! If you eat healthy you will lose weight. ~ Joyce Meyers (from her teaching "Focus on the Positive Things in Life" April 2015)

Focus on your progress!

God bless!

emoticon Great to see your Spark FRIEND, emoticon PAM_COOPER is The Motivator of the Day. emoticon

I love your Lincoln quote. He was such a fantastic man who gave everything. I grew up in Illinois and thus became interested in him when I was really young. One of my favorite quotes is "Most people are just about as happy as they make their minds up to be." With all the loss he had, he still found something to be happy about.
