Call me a professional dieter- I have been at this too long and it has to end. Progress has been made, but I want to cross this off my "to do list" and get on with my life. I have lost 30 pounds and am looking forward to losing the last 25 and joining the other successful Spark People.

I attained a BIG one recently- getting to go off Metformin! One more med to go!

My Program:
A new vegetarian life-style has me appreciating fresh, wholesome foods. Challenging myself physically by running ( who, ME?!?) and adding resistance/weights to the mix.
Being HONEST about what goes into my mouth. Just because I did not write it down does not mean it did not "count"

Happily married to a great guy who inspires me and motivates me to live a full and healthy life. Two sons that are my pride and joy.
I love to read- magazines, historical fiction, self-improvement books and more. I love movies, pop culture, music and some tv.

Thanks for the comment on my blog! Funny you should mention parallel lives on this journey right now...especially when I read that you do spin twice a week. So do I! I absolutely love that class, even though it's the toughest workout ever. :) I hope things go well for you, and that we can pick up the pieces and get moving downward again! God bless.

Kathy, thanks for the nice note on my Feed. Yes, we need to keep in touch. I stayed on plan yesterday. I did have cravings last night, but went to bed a bit earlier and read some of "Primal Blueprint" by Mark Sisson on my Nook before falling asleep. It all helped. Today is going well. I got up and made 13 burgers on my George Foreman and sauteed a bunch of green peppers, onions, celery, and mushrooms in bacon grease. Lunch was delish!......Patti

Thanks for stopping by my Page, Kathy. I am proud of what I've accomplished, although I've hit a bit of a rough patch. The past few days have been difficult food-wise and making low carb choices. Not sure why I've slipped after being so good since Feb. Today is going very well and I've planned out all meals and snacks. I intend to stick to my plan today.
