Keeping Fit and Healthy

I'm here on Spark to continue and enrich my healthy lifestyle. I don't need to be the fittest or the thinnest, but I do want to be healthy! My main goals are to eat well (fruits and veggies, fiber, and less dessert) and exercise regularly. I'm 5'8" and have a healthy BMI. I have to eat gluten free because I have celiac disease.

I love the gym -- I never thought I'd say that! I take classes, but I'm also trying to incorporate more strength training through the Girls Gone Strong ...

Ahhhh! That's the thing, I didn't make a whole lot, so only shared them with people I thought would be appreciative. The one lady that made the most stink about was a work friend that I have lunch with.....but yeah I should have known better - she's not all that adventurous when it comes to food and never cooks for herself.

Too bad about the batch your friend made not turning out so good. Another lady I shared with said she tried to make them once too but didn't turn out as good as mine! LOL!

I think I've just been in a funk lately. Really need to focus on the positives and let go of the negatives.

Thanks for the goodie!! I am afraid I have let another year slip past me without reaching my weight goal. I just don't consistently try. My appointment is at the end of July though. That means I have time to make some sort of progress which would increase the likelihood that I've made inroads on the blood work.

As for taking care of me, I decided to sign up for a Yoga class. I've tried yoga before and not been super happy with it. This is Hatha Yoga and I think before I'd done Vinyasa. Does it matter that much? I don't know. The teacher is someone new for me so maybe that will help too.

Enjoy your trip!! It sounds so fun!
