JW's journey to goal
Started this journey around my 40th birthday. Have lost around 60 lbs and have made some significant changes in my health and lifestyle. Would really like to complete this journey by my 50th birthday. Then, of course, I will still need to stay the course.

My Goals:
Will weigh 130 lbs. by 10/31/2010. Will inspire others and be a good role model for my family and my patients.
My Program:
Track my calories in and calories out. Drink at least 8 c. fluid each day, with more than half of it being pure water. Monitor my portions and night time and mindless eating: plan my snacks, don't let myself get over-hungry, manage stress better. Get an adequate amount of calcium, even if it means I need to take a supplement. Eat less salt: within recommended range more than half of the time. Some form of exercise every day. I walk (outside when it isnt too cold or icy), or go to the gym and do cardio machines or classes. I love to dance! I also do water aerobics, water jogging, deep water aqua, and some swimming. I also enjoy yoga. I play wii fit with my hubby. And I love to ride my bike on trails around Chicago.Add one or two new types of exercise : currently learning to swim/crawl ( I can already swim other strokes).

Married with two grown kids. RN. Live in Chicago area.
Other Information:
Walked two 1/2 marathons last year.
