I've realised something lately, and no it's not just a new years thing. I need to get myself back.

5 years ago I was involved in a workplace accident 3 days before my high school graduation that caused me to basicly be unable to walk for 4 months. I went from being a dancer with a 130lb 5'8" figure to just under 200lbs. I have been fluctuating between 170 and 200 since then and it is time to stop. 5 years ago I was involved in a workplace accident 3 days before my high school graduation that caused me to basicly be unable to walk for 4 months. I went from being a dancer with a 130lb 5'8" figure to just under 200lbs. I have been fluctuating between 170 and 200 since then and it is time to stop. I recieved my Chef's certification 1 year after my accident, and well needless to say fine french food and diet don;t go together well. About a year and a half ago I hit the 200lb mark again. (That's what I get for eating a creme brulée for breakfast I geuss.) It was also the same time that I went home to BC for the first time in 6 years, my realatives were being poliete you could tell, but being next to my 2 cousins (who used to be very large) and my petite sister with them all in bikinis and me in a t-shirt and jeans near the beach it hit me, that I needed to change, I just havn't been able to alone.

I joined SparkPeople a few months ago with good intentions at the advice of a co-worker, and stuck to it for a little, then the holidays came around and it became I'll do it tomorrow, or what's another glass of Egg Nog? Doing this I gained back most of my progress from the few weeks I had followed it closely. This time I am determined not to let it go again, before I was just using the nutrition tracker but as of last week have been going to the local Y every other day, I already feel healthier, so much so that after trying to quit smoking for the past.....10 years or so...yes i started young. I am no longer wanting them, the smell if making me feel ill after working out and I am down to a pack a week just at work, though I plan on quitting completely by the end of the month.

I am really looking for support on this site, and so far what I have found I great...just discovered this page thing today acctually, and I am quite excited. Hence the novel I am writting here. :P
