Here is a plan to consider, many people have been successful with it:
150 minutes a week of fitness 1350-1600 calories a day. Do your very best to see that the first 1350 is filled wih protein and veggies and healthy choices BUT then leave 250 calories for your "Happy calories" This can be 1 soda, some candy, extra bread... whatever. If you ahve a special dinner with your mom or your sweetie, save up 3 days worth of fun calories, and you have an extra 750 calories for that meal. OR if it was an impromptu special dinner... then the net 3 days just omit your fun calories. This usually leads to about a 10 lb weight loss in a month. It's called the "drop 10 plan"
