John's Journey Back

I'm a 56 year old Bostonian who has decided to get off the chair and back into the game! Several years ago I taught group fitness and after a back injury put it all away.

Now, several years later and weighing 171 lbs. , I know that it is time to drop the weight and start again!

My first step was getting set up with the Discovery challenge for 2007.

I've begun to integrate Spark's Fast Break program with the nutrition program that Discovery is recommending.

I've just begun to do core training and have signed up for doing some Pilates sessions.

Hey there!!

Thanks for checking in... every day is a new day for me, so I am just trying to focus on the positives and not get so depressed about my son failing in high school... I am walking a lot more and I've been going to the Weymouth BSC on fridays and sundays.

What are you doing?

Hey there!

Getting over to BSC during the work week is tough.. I prefer working 4 days so that I can have fridays off to get things done without the kids around. Unfortunately, they've changed their rules, they used to be very loose if you went to another BSC, but now they are set "off peak" hours that if you arrive before or after them, you get charged $7.50!! Just another way for them to make $. I used to drop off the kids at school and then zip down to weymouth now I have to wait until 10 am.. and a lot can happen between 7 and 10 to get me distracted from NOT going.... Now I just plan on the afternoon @ 2 on fridays and then anytime on sunday I can go.

I saw the bungee jumping.. how Kewl are you??? lol
