I regularly compete in races and triathlons. After completing a personal best (1:39) in the half marathon this fall, I'm looking forward to doing more triathlon events next year.
I regularly plan my fitness activities at least a month out depending on what events are upcoming. I will begin training for the Hy-Vee Triathlon sometime in March of 2009.

My family and healthy physical activities are my biggest interests. I regularly compete in races and triathlons. Sports including St. Louis Cardinal Baseball (Go Redbirds!) and Mizzou Football (Mizzou-rah!). Also enjoy current events and politics. I also try to keep up with new movies and music.
Just thought I would give you a shout out. Saw a link you posted to your blog and I'm finding lots of helpful information! I've been thinking about starting to run and you have several good posts answering questions I have. Thanks!!
Hello Joe! Thank you for commenting on my blog. I went to your blog and found that info very helpful. I found a great place to get measured for shoes about a month ago. When I started having the knee pain I got a little depressed and worried that I'd never run without the pain. I looked it up on the web. I didn't think I was injured because it gradually got worse over the next couple of runs. I think I started too soon too fast and got a little burned out. I found a page (can't remember where) that mentioned that weak quads could cause knee pain. So for cardin, I started rollerblading; to strengthen those muscles I started practicing yoga again. I have to admit that I put it off longer than I should have, but I'm happy I got off my but last night. Thanks again! Julie
