My Journey

I believe it and I will achieve it.

In the past believe me when I say I have been there done that, you name it (the diet, the book, the pills, the websites, the emails, add a couple of thousand suggestions) I’ve tried it. You would be amazed how many years I have been at this and the up's and down's on the scale. Truthfully, I would be definitely placed in the top 10.

You would be amazed how many years I have been at this and the up's and down's on the scale. Truthfully, I would be definitely placed in the top 10.

I have been working out seriously for a year now (a minimum of four times per week). I took a few months off last summer. This of coarse does not count the number of years I started and stopped even after going strong for six months. Why did I stop –the simple answer; it never came off fast enough for me.

Overall I have lost approx 20 lbs and keep it off between December 2006 -date.

I am now very clear on what the issue is "my food intake". It's not so much the things I eat, it's the amount of food that I eat. The portions I consume. Especially the things that I like. Bread being one of my favorite things, yes bread (I don’t discriminate –any kind will do). I could eat bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Add a cup of coffee or tea, some butter and I am good. A carb junkie some may call me—yes, I will answer. This has been the most challenging part of my journey. I either eat too much or too little on any given day. I am looking and really struggling to find balance in this area.

With my 20lbs loss, I love the way l look in the mirror. This is important, you must like and love, be really in love who you are now at present. This is the sustenance that will keep you going.

2008 - It's my summer back to an "8".

My Goals:
In order of priority:



1) Nutritional balance- Eating the right combination of foods and foster good lifelong habits eating the foods I like.

2) To loose weight and be more heathy/ fit. Diabetes and high blood pressure run in my family, therefore fitness and health are a must.

3) To be a good example for my children.

4) To create a healthy nutritional lifestyle for my family.

My Program:
Excersise 6 days a week.

Monday - Step Aerobic -high intensity 60 mins
Strenth train- upper body.

Tuesday - Cardio 60 mins (Stairsterp or Elliptical)

Wednesday - Spin Class 60 mins
Strength train -Core/lower

Thursday- Body works, Total body strength train 60 mins.
Cardio 60 mins

Friday- Cardio (Elliptical, Stairstep, Spin) 60 mins

Saturday -Spin Class 60 mins. Strenth train total body 30-60 mins.
