Maintaining weight and loving the new lifestyle!

I have lost weight the healthy way and I love my new lifestyle so much I don't want to give it up for anything. If anyone tries to take it away I will put up a huge fight, even if it is myself who is the enemy. Yes, we can find ways to adapt and live life to the fullest in no matter what condition we are in, but why not try to live your life to the healthiest if you can? I'm doing this for myself, I want to feel good about the woman I see in the mirror, I want to feel like I am attractive. ...

I am also doing this for others, if I don't take care of myself I will become a burden, and I wont be able to take care of anyone else either.
I am a busy mother of two, I just had my last baby 7/22/10 and I really want to get into shape and feel good about myself. I'm not only juggling being a mother, but I also work full time in a medical laboratory. It's all crazy but I do like my career and being able to help others.
I have always fought with my weight my whole life, but I have always remained physically active since I was a teenager. I love working out. I find that the biggest change I need to make is how I eat. I do feel good physically, but I know I can always improve and I just want to be fitter than I am today.
I started getting serious with the SP program at the beginning of June and reached a healthy weight in October 2011! I reached my dream weight in 2012. I love this program and am so happy with the progress.
I started signing up for tons of races this year. I have ran several 5Ks, a few 10Ks and a novice Triathlon. My future goals are to become a half marathon runner and compete in a Sprint Triathlon. Even once I reached my goal weight on the scale I learned that there is so much I can always keep working on. Right now I'm focused on maintaining my lifestyle and becoming a better athlete.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I was very nervous to take the AFAA credential, because my teaching was for Tai chi rather than an aerobic type class! We only had five people show up for the day which worked out for us as I believe the presenter got to know us and care for us a little bit emoticon

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Who is to say you can never show your stomach in a bikini? Screw what 'society' tells us we 'need to look like' to have a 'bikini body.' If you love your body and self, and feel proud of how you take care of your body and all you've done to change it (sista - you are smoking! You're tiny and fit!) - then by gosh, WEAR A BIKINI. Who cares what anyone else thinks but you? If wearing the bikini isn't what you want because it's just too immodest or any other reason you may have, then that's fine. But if you wish you could and want to, then do it. That's the only way you'll be able to inspire yourself and others and change the face of beauty in our lives!

Be beautiful, lady! Have a great day!

Thank you for your comment on my blog! I love hearing input from people and plateaus are something everyone can understand in SP-world. I still am jealous of those people who lose 10 pounds and 2 pant sizes, but maybe that's a complete lie to sell product, or maybe that will happen when I am smaller. Nothing to do but keep on truckin on. Thanks again!

Ugh. Vague goals are the bane of my existence! It's so easy to want something or even to be dis-satisfied with something, but it isn't until I look more closely and look at the components that I see the problem is ME not being specific!

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I am certainly hoping that having some concrete way of focusing on the positive, like my gratitude jar, and of trying to get a fix on some of those chores will help me face this new year with a better frame of mind.

Here's hoping your New Year is just FABULOUS!
