Jen's goals of fitness

This is hilarious, but after some time off from here, I realize that raising a toddler (or near toddler) is much harder than raising an infant. When my little one was still under 1 year, I could let her be near me and I would work out and she would be happy. Now she is into everything, and almost 2! So, it helps to really have the support of my husband. Working out is hard sometimes, so I am really pushing myself to do it daily, whether it falls at the time I want it to or not.

My goals exceed just looking good. I want to be healthy and a good example for my new daughter, so that she won't struggle with weight issues in her life, and will see her mom as an example of health!

Hi Jen,
I stumbled across your sparkpage and I was surprised by how much your attitude resembles mine. I say pretty much the same thing on my page and my blogs. I am commited to getting healthy. I have a 14 year old daughter who I want to inspire to live a healthy lifestyle. Just like your want for your little girl. My daughter has quickly followed suit. She works out, she's athletic and she loves to eat healthy. Now if I could just fit into her size 1 jeans! ha ha. Your right, you have to do the work!! I have lost almost 50 lbs in the last year and a half. No pills, no fads, just me working my butt off!! I read your one blog about your mom. My mom needs to lose weight, but she feels like she can't exercise. Meanwhile, she doesn't want to hear about my weight loss or fitness. I guess it makes her feel bad about herself. Anyway, I am adding you as a spark friend. Hope you do the same. Take care.

You couldn't be more right! Diet & exercise is the key! Everyone wants shortcuts and doesn't want to work for anything but you know something? Whatever we work for, we appreciate a heck of a lot more! I know when I see that scale go down, I know the I EARNED that number and I am proud of myself and what I have done to get there! We don't need no sinking diet pills or surgery! WE make who WE are!

Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. It helps to know there are people who come through this kind of stuff and come out better. Right now I can't seem to hang onto that thought any better than a squirrel with a greased nut but I'm trying.

Also, just want to say you are SOOO pretty! Random awkwardness, I know, LOL!
