California Mom looking to become a loser

My weight has really gotten the best of me since having kids 7 years ago. I lost 21 pounds a few years ago and then gained it all back when I got very ill. I am now trying to get back on track and lose about 80 pounds total, one block of weight at a time. The total goal is too overwhelming to me.

My Program:
I am doing a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio 6 days a week, and frequently doing 40+ minutes. I also do an hour of strength training 3 days a week.

I am working really hard on consuming calories in my range, my portions can get the best of me!

I'm 37 and married with 2 boys. I love nature photography and scrapbooking and traveling whenever I can.

Hi Jennifer!

It's great to hear from you again!! I'm sorry to say I was away from SP for a couple of months. Just lost interest I guess. Then when I hoped back on our discussion group was pretty much gone. I am glad to be back now though, once again the logging my food is really helping me stay honest.

Sorry to hear about your exercise bike, I know how much you loved doing that for exercise. Between the heat and your arthritis, sounds like you may have to take up swimming!!

Hi Jennifer,

Bet you thought I fell off the face of the earth! Well I'm back, hopefully in full force. I decided to train for a 1/2 marathon. I actually did the whole training program and walk/jogged the 1/2 marathon last weekend. But I sort of fell off the eating wagon. I was training a lot and I could pretty much eat whatever I wanted - and I did. I gained 3 pounds back. So this week now that the marathon is over, i decided to jump back on the SP site and keep going.

I missed talking to you so I wanted to stop by and say hi. Hope all is well!

Busy time for you with back to school and such for the kids...but a great time to start new health and fitness routines too...Good luck!
