Q: Do I track sleep with Fibit or Garmin?
A: I started with a Fitbit, but I was underwhelmed by the mechanical durability. When the Fitbit died, I replaced it with a Garmin Vivofit. The sleep tracking worked a little differently, but I could adjust. Then when my Garmin 620 had to be replaced, I got a Garmin 630 that has the sleep and step tracking built into the GPS watch. Now I can live with only one band on my wrist, which is more convenient.

I have to agree with SLENDERELLA. Galloway's walk/ run approach is excellent, for both beginner runners, as well as those resuming running. His format is widely used by many running groups or a variation of it . For you, when you are still recovering from injuries, a walk/ run regime would probably be safer, particularly when your recovery seems to be so very extensive and unusually long for the kind of injury sustained.
