Update June 2014-
I am starting my 3rd 5% weight loss challenge. During the Spring Challenge, I lost all the weight I planned to lose! Unfortunately, I only stayed at that weight for one week (hubby�s vacation started the day the challenge ended). UGH!! But at least I know I can get there! And I WILL get there again (and try hard to stay there) during the Summer Challenge! One book that I think helped in my loss was �Beck Diet Solution�. I stopped half way thru the book so I can ...
Update June 2014-

I also have some non-weight loss goals that I will work on this Summer (financial, household, home school).


Update April 2014 - I did my first 5% Challenge this Winter. I got to within 1 pound of my original goal & 3 pounds of my "official" goal! Now I am back, helping lead the GREAT team of Clover Leafs! I also read the book "Made to Crave" over the winter & it was a major stepping stone to my weight loss/fitness/wellness success! I highly recommend the book to everyone!

Update Jan 2014 - This is my 2nd time on Spark People. I got down to about 120-ish last time (2008-2009). Then I got sick with Lyme disease, sinus surgery, and stomach issues from the medicine I took for the Lyme disease & sinus issues. I got back up to my current heaviest (135) and stayed there for awhile.
Now I'm back again & plan to get to a lower number this time & STAY THERE!! I would love to get close to my wedding weight (100 pounds), but will be super happy staying in the one-teens.

My Goals:
~ Get to 112 pounds during Summer Challenge.
~ Pay $475 on one bill.
~ Participate fully in all Clover Leaf Team Challenges.
~ Do major cleaning of my bedroom & boys� room.
~ Finish 3rd quilt (twin sized for boy #4) and 4th quilt (queen sized for hubby)


My Program:
Exercise plan 6 days a week:
~ 30 min (at least) of cardio
~ 10 min (at least) strength/stretching - Spark People workouts, In Flight Movies, yoga/pilates
~ Sun - rest/light activity (yoga)


Nutrition Plan:
~ Stay in SP range most days of the week. ~ Concentrate daily on: 5 freggies,
65 g protein,
10 cups water,
13 g fiber.
~ One day each week: 1) Eat only fruit until lunch,
2) Eat 75 g of protein, 3) Eat 7 freggies.
~ Set up a reward system for 3 bonus days.


Personal Information:
I live in South Georgia & homeschool my 2 youngest children (my 3 oldest have moved out). I've been married to my high school sweetheart for over 24 years & enjoy being married now more than ever!

I am a Christian & believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I believe a relationship with Jesus is so much more important than any religious rituals.

I have 1 grandchild and he is in Aussie....this will be my 2nd.....and I have 2 step grandchildren who live in Auckland and we rarely see them.....

I have not heard of the book you mentioned. I will add it to my list to check into! Thanks for the suggestion.

Days 1 & 2 so far are successful in being up early. Today better than yesterday as I actually made it out of bed by 6am! WOO! AND... I beat my texter! That's awesome.

Creating a routine is definitely going to be interesting...
