Striving for Health

I lost 50 lbs. with Weight Watchers. Got off Cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Then got Rheumatoid Arthritis, had 2 should repair surgeries when my bones cut through my rotator cuffs, and my weight loss came to a stand still, but for 2 years have kept that weight off. Now I'm using Spark People and getting results again. Still struggling with pain, medications, etc., but grateful and determined.

You asked if my DH was my dance partner. I line dance so no need of a partner. I log my dance as waltz, etc., because they are too high when you log line dance. emoticon

How is your husband doing? I saw that on your status, but no update after..
I live in a government funded public housing building. All their fixtures are standardized from building to building. They were not designed to be accessible. Features were added sporadically later to a select few apartments. I was lucky to get these taps at all. They do not allow us to buy our own and as he pointed out if I did I would have to pay a plumber to fix them if something went wrong with them, and then have them replaced with the standard taps should I ever move out. I had to buy my own toilet and have a plumber install it as there was no way I was going to risk dislocating my artificial hip struggling to get up from a low toilet -I did try the raised seat addition but hated it and how hard it was to clean (I couldn't take it off to clean the toilet under it.)
Thanks for your caring!

Thanks for reading my tips to boost your health. I got them from a magazine, but haven't tried the. The one I use the most is substituting yogurt for sour cream, and using almond milk & yogurt for cream, I also do applesauce for oil in recipes, or spice them up so I don't miss flavor . In trying to get healthier if you stop eating processed foods, fast foods, or man made, & stop excessive sugars, salts, or caffeine your health will get much better. I have noticed on this site , man having lupus & MS from grain also. I would just get all the trigger foods out of the house completely. In mine they were low fat yogurt-now use plain -not greek cause it has live cults, peanuts, low fat ice cream, cereal, & bread. I don't eat much pastas cause my body has a hard time digesting the. I hope this helps you. Plus I try to do a couple of vegetarian meals a week too. eva

I got that info from an article, it's really not me, or what I do. I have cured two animals from incurable illnesses. And have cured my self from being partially crippled for 15 years. I just got to the point where I felt the medication was making me wore, did something about it, and cured myself in under 3 days from 8 illnesses. People just can't usually do that, but I was reading for 37 years on herbs & vitamins, and that day I guess I started to realizer that once I understood what something was made out of, I realized if it could cure something. It's weird to start having this miraculous gift at 62 years of age. I am not even a med student, or nutritionist. But if you stop eating processed foods, and man made, & stop eating excess salt, sugar & caffeine-then disease has no chance of taking you down. eva
