Back on Spark after being off for about a year. Had a health scare recently so I've had the "opportunity" to get back into a healthy lifestyle. I've been working hard at watching my diet and so far it has been a lot easier than I expected. Now I'm using my WiiFit, my treadmill, and Zumba classes to add back in fitness. I'm very excited to see my weight drop...albeit slowly. God has been very good to me despite my poor choices regarding my health. It's high time I honor Him and take better care of myself.

My Goals:
"Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

It's hard to do all that when part of what hinders is an extra 170 pounds.


My Program:
1. Gratefulness - I make a point to be grateful for what I have right now in this moment
2. Honesty - I am truthful about what needs to change in my life and I make small changes here and there to achieve those things
3. Urgency - I am rooting out the things that are toxic and of no benefit - like soda
4. Consistency - Once I find something that works, and I make the choice to appreciate it, I keep doing it
5. Patience - If I do what is right, I WILL see results!

Scripture tells us to love others as we love ourselves. So what if we hate ourselves? I believe we need to love ourselves, not selfishly or rudely, but as Scripture tells us to: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but always rejoices with the truth.     I stopped by your page because of a post you made on the daily spark today. I so agreed with your comment about the biggest lost being a source of inspiration. It shows that no matter what size, you can achieve anything if push yourself just beyond that comfort zone. I love that you "get" it. And THAT's why you are successful.
