Life Begins at 60
It is odd, but having turned 60 in 2007 seemed finally to have gotten me inspired to make some changes! First of all, I am trying to be more fiscally responsible, which is a good reason for coming here and saving the cost of other online programs. Next, I am trying to take better care of myself so I can be active and productive well into my eighties and nineties! My mom turned 90 last year, and she hasn't been as active as she might have been and is now rather frail. I don't want that to be ...
I don't want that to be me! I am also wanting to use up a lot of my fabric stash instead of accumulating more. This is part of being fiscally responsible and also fighting perfectionism! It's now Feb.2, 2009, and I just edited the above to update it. I am making progress, but not in LOSING weight! However, the small changes I am making are improving my attitude in lots of areas, so the weight loss WILL follow! Eventually!

My Goals:
I want to be active and agile as I near "old age," which as defined by my eight-year-old grandson is seventy. I am now sixty, so I have plenty of time to get ready! I also want to be healthy and to feel good about the way I look.
My Program:
I am starting by drinking enough water, eating more vegetables, and riding the stationary bike.
Personal Information:
I live in southeast Michigan after having lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for fifteen years. I have two grown sons and five grandchildren. I love to quilt and read, both of which are sedentary, so I am working on loving to exercise! Some of this can be be just taking care of my home as a FlyBaby, which would help in LOTS of areas!
Other Information:
Although I am of German descent, I also love England and Scotland. My favorite author is Rosamunde Pilcher for fiction and C. S. Lewis for non-fiction. I would love to spend a few weeks in England, so perhaps that will be my reward for this major lifestyle change!
