My Goals:
I want to lose 140 pounds. I know that it is a huge amount of weight to lose, but I know that I can do it! I just have to put my mind to it. I want to make a huge life style change by eating right, losing weight and doing the things I thought I could never do. Like rock climbing, sky diving, hiking long distances, etc. :-) I want to be able to define what makes me happy and go for it without the fear of what others think or of not being able to do it.

My Program:
In progress

Personal Information:
I am from upstate NY. I recently graduated from college and want to get my butt into shape so that when I travel (no if, and's, or but's about it) I will be able to reach all of my travel goals. I want to experience new cultures and walk/hike pilgrimages and trails that I've been dying to see. And, to be honest, I wouldn't enjoy my time overseas as much at this weight...that is why I want a change. I want to be a positive role model/ the outdoorsy, running, mom for my (future) kids. In order to set a good example I need to start.

Other Information:
“Success starts with passionate vision, but engagement in a hundred thousand tiny details is the difference between success and failure.”

Hi there, I just want to comment on the intimidation feeling at the gym. Trust me, I know what you mean. You walk in there and it seems like daggers are starring at you because you are overweight. I have overcome this feeling by wearing comfotable workout clothing, and going more often. The more I went the less intimidation I felt. So what if the person next to me is jogging on the tredmil. I put in my headphones and everything else doesn't matter. Its hard work I know, but it will be well worth it in the end. The satisfaction you feel after you workout is priceless.

Kepp up the good work. emoticon

To think that my words today may have inspired you to keep moving forward, just fills me with joy. It really does work..don't give up on yourself. One day, in isolation, at a time. Every "good" day, is one less "bad" day. (Sorry to use that awful terminology, but you know what I mean). We are all in this together...continued success!!
