My goal is to Sparkle

I hope to find the person I was meant to be... the person I had lost along the way. At my happiest, I do feel a sparkle or love of life, but that had been missing too much of the time. "Dance like nobody is watching, love like you'll never get hurt, sing like nobody is listening, and live like it's heaven on earth." That is who I want to be and I am working on it. That starts today and it starts again new every day. To get healthy and get my energy back so I can dance, love, sing and live!

My Goals:
I'm just setting my sights on only 5% at a time. I hope to reach my ultimate goal, but 5% improvements are not so overwhelming. When I think back on all the years trying (sometimes losing some, but never keeping it off for good), I felt to be successful this time, I needed to focus on mini goals and how to make each mini goal stick. And of course to do that I need to do my homework and use the most powerful tool I have in this hard battle, my brain.

My Program:
*Exercise till I am completely tired, then do just a little bit more.
*Starting to work on eating more cleanly (although it is very hard), and hoping to practically eliminate my use of chemically processed food.
*Also, I semi-follow the South Beach Diet. I really believe watching sugar, processed carbs, and saturated fats makes for a healthy diet. But I sure do miss fresh baked warm bread and white rice. Tell me how someone half Japanese, can survive without white rice?

Personal Information:
I am a New Englander ... so it should not be surprising that I am a die hard Patriots and Red Sox fan.

I love music and love to sing.

I like being outdoors in all seasons except the winter. I know, not a good thing for a New Englander, but winter looks much better to me through the window of a toasty room.
