Hello there! My name is Wanda and I am excited about the changes God has been making in my life! I realized that in this weight loss journey, everything depends on me and my efforts. I choose what I eat, how I eat, when I eat, where I eat. I choose when, where, and how I work out. I have chosen to make a lifestyle change because I decided I wanted to be better, feel better and look better. This is why I go by ITSMYCHOICE. We all have a choice in what we do. Sometimes we get mad at the choices we make and blame it on others... That Was ME! But not anymore. I realize that in order for me to become serious about what I was doing, I would have to F.R.O.G. IT! Yep Fully Rely On GOD. I can't do this battle on my own. I need help from my Creator... after all HE DID CREATE US!
Sometimes we forget that since we are created by God, He would have the manual on this temple of ours. It's only temporary, but God allows us to use it. However, we must remember that we must take care of it. If we don't, bad things happen (i.e. heart failure, diabetes, STDs, etc.) the list goes on and on. God doesn't want this for our bodies. So I CHOSE to do what he requires of me. Unfortunately, because I have been messing things up for years, it is going to take just as much time to fix and replenish all of the things I took from it. This is why I have asked God to Meet Me Halfway. I promised God (never make a promise to Him unless you intend to keep it-God is serious about his covenants :0), that if I He would meet me halfway, I would do my part. This means that even when I am tired, frustrated, depressed, plateauing (not a word), I still have to keep going.
Wow! What a CHOICE! But it is one I am proud to have made.
Since beginning SP on 1 Dec 08, I wanted to lose 50 lbs and get out of the 200lbs category. Praise God! That's done. Now I begin the next goal: Lose 28 lbs. Then I'll be done... i think.
I currently exercise 5-6 days a week. I started a program called "Weight Down Workshop" so I will will never diet again and no more overeating! I have a sit down job and am not active at work so I try to find creative ways to keep the blood flowing and the calories burning. I currently get down and 2 sets of pushups twice a day at work.
I am from Houston, TX, but currently live in San Antonio. I am 35 y/o and have 2 little boys whom I cherish. I am a working mom and I also attend college to become a college professor. I wanted to try something new with SparkPeople. New friends, new choice. Let's see what happens.
I am a young vibrant down-to-earth Christian. I worship God because of who HE is. I try to stay humble in everything. But that doesn't mean I don't fall. Heck, everyday I fall one way or the other. I love God! He is awesome!
