Here's hoping!!

Here it is April, 2013, and I turned 40 seven months ago (where has the time gone), got laid off from work and am trying to start two businesses (yes I am crazy) at the same time. I had lost 35 pounds (and three dress sizes) by my birthday, and would like to lose 10 more. So after some time off, here's to a new warm weather workout season!!!

This year (2011) I signed up again. This year I am walking in Washington DC at the end of September. I haven't actually started training ...

I had lost 35 pounds (and three dress sizes) by my birthday, and would like to lose 10 more. So after some time off, here's to a new warm weather workout season!!!

This year (2011) I signed up again. This year I am walking in Washington DC at the end of September. I haven't actually started training yet, but have been trying to fit in a little walking here and there. But I did start counting calories, because I found last year that just walking wasn't enough. I knew I needed to do more.

Last year (2010) I signed up for the Philadelphia Susan Komen 3-Day for the Cure, which is a 60-mile walk over 3 days for breast cancer research, and tried using that as my motivation to get moving and lose some weight. I hadn't been able to motivate myself to actually do anything before that. I would always find some sort of excuse (ie. I have to do the laundry.). The walk was in October, and I had been pretty good about walking about 4 miles 4 days a week .

Reduce my thighs so they don't rub anymore.
Get rid of the extra weight in my tummy from my second pregnancy.


My Program:
Walk at least 4 miles 4 times a week.
Cross train by doing Yoga or Pilates 2 times a week.
