Another year...lots of changes..!!!

My life, the only thing I can say that its most consistent activity is change...
Mike & I finished building our home in Jan. 2010, we moved.
I was somewhat unemployed for the first part of the year, working on re-establishing Gemini Vibes in the SE Calgary.
In July I started back working in the gym, evenings only and also landed an IT contract by day. Life was crazy!!!

With the busy days, Gemini Vibes was put on the bottom of the list, but my career at the gym ...

With the busy days, Gemini Vibes was put on the bottom of the list, but my career at the gym blossomed! And that is a great thing! And thru it Gemini Vibes has added more services

And with all the busy-ness & crazy-ness, I finally decided, in November to to the "career flip". I have been working 80% in the IT world & 20% in the fitness world. In November I decided to make a flip. I am now working 80% in my passion - although most times it seems like 100% - and 20% in the corporate world. I don't miss the corp drama & stress...:-)

Lots of learning in 2010, Spinning & Fitness Kickboxing (FKB) of course, more TRX, Reflexology, Kettle bells, & the biggie Life Coaching for PTs, that was a WOW!!!

And oh yeah, I got engaged in July...so now there is a wedding in January 2012 to plan for....*giggle, giggle*

And so it keeps on moving forward. I am on the search for a part-time IT contract, I am loving helping my PT clients keep strong, mentally, physically & spiritually. I love how I can help them, and they give me satisfaction!

2011, is a great year!!!

My Goals:
As you all know I started in 2004 at 190lbs or so. It took me 2 yrs, but I got down to 135lbs, stabilized at 140lbs. But last fall, work stress got the better of me, I gained went back up to150. I am now sitting at 145, but still got 15 to go. Phew...the last 15lbs. I no longer have any desire to participate in any Body build competition 2009, I don't want to win, just not interested. What I want is to get back to my ideal weight of 130-135lbs, and get the body fat down, I just wanna be healthy!

My Program:
As a PT the hardest thing is get my own workouts in. But having discovered Spinning, cardio is no longer an issue. Because of my injuries, I am not doing any crazy boot camps, spinning has taken over the running. I have discovered a couple of Wii workouts that keep me happy, the EA Sport, first & 2nd versions, as well as the Gold's Gym Boxing workout. I will be back teaching boot camps this summer. Gonna try to get in a kickbox class with one of my new fav pros. Otherwise, my biggest challenge is still the food. But I am gonna keep on trying!

Personal Information:
Me? A confident woman, love, respect, & accept myself enough to know what I want, still leaving room for those tweaks here & there as I learn more:-) I'm not perfect, but who is? I am healthy, fit, smart, talented, work hard, play hard. Lead a pretty busy/active life - between my corp world, my passion work - fitness, I try to work out regularly ( resistant training, spinning, boot camp etc). I am also constantly learning, whether is my fitness certifications courses or my Business Analyst courses, continuing education is a part of my world. As always, family & friends come first - my sanity during life’s chaos. I try to live my life with integrity, respect for myself and others.
Open to all the possibilities life has to offer.

Other Information:
Fav activities: being with Mike, hanging with family & friends, reading books on fitness, wellness & romance, working on Gemini Vibes Fitness & Wellness - FUN!!! Functional training, spinning, off road running, Turbo Jam, Fitness Kickboxing, reading, movies, theatre, concerts, etc.

Other things I like: Anything fitness, spirituality & things that may/may not go bump in the night, dancing.

Music likes Jazz, Soul, R&B, any techno tune used to spin with.

Fav Movies: A&E's Pride & Prejudice; Robin Hood, Jungle Book, Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh ver.).

Fav Books: All of Jane Austins 6 novels, any Shakespeare.

PS- What did you do to break 150lbs? Everytime I am within a pound my body seems to yank me back to 153, I get frustrated and settle at 155. Trying to overcome that this time around. Was it slow and steady or a drastic first 6-7 pound weightloss? Thanks
