Isn't SparkPeople.com wonderful? I really love it and it sure is helping me in my journey. This website was recommended to me when I asked my doctor how I could lose weight. Wow! I am so glad I asked her that question!

I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I was doing the WW Points plan-- on my own with the help of Spark People.

Spark got me going and then the new WW Points plus plan came out and I decided to change from WW points- on my own to the new plan.
In December of 2010 , I re-joined for the new WW Points Plus Program for three months. It was a early Christmas gift to myself, since I know ----I am worth it!!
Now, since early March 2011, I am doing the program on my own. I have a long way to go, but know this program will keep me on top of things.
I have a few health problems that sometimes interfere
with my exercising plans, but am striving to improve on this. I am hoping my health will actually be much better by my activity and healthier lifestyle.
One day at at time I will get there. It may take me longer than I planned, but I will not give up. My journey is moving in the right direction and I am on this with all of you. Let's help each other get there. Thanks for being here Spark People!

My Goals:
To Continue on this journey, One day at a time, losing the weight
necessary to become healthier.

Hoping to reach my goal in 2013. As I get closer to goal I will pick a date. Health issues have set me back some. I will do as much as I can to catch up and be active.






My Program:
Following the Weight Watcher Points Plus Program.

Track food and portion control daily.

Exercising regularly.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.

Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!



Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.

My faith and my family are very important to me.

I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.

I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and go to a Fitness after 50 class twice a week. I also go to use the equipment and pool other days during the week.

I love to read, love music, walking outdoors and spending time outdoors with family and friends enjoying nature.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

Thank you Irish for your kind words of support and your prayers. I am never offended by the word of God. he is here taking care of my son and helping me to cope along with my friends.
God brought me to Spark people not only to get healthy but I can see now that He brought me here because my network of friends here are an extended family that truly shows love, compassion and support all the time. Thank you so much for being here for me. I truly am most appreciative.

HI there, dear friend! I wanted to let you know that I got back home from the hospital yesterday around 3:00 or so. I have a nice rented walker sitting by me right now. Our p/t classes were so thorough and I even got some whoops and hollers for how well I did and my Dr. sure was pleased with that and how well my motion was at bending my knee already up on the bed, etc! Oh, I had pain alright, and big-time, but with some good meds., I got relief from it. The p/t therapists are awesome and really pushed us all. And I surely hope that I have it clear in my head of all that we have to do now, so don't end up walking crooked, etc. So much depends on these days! My DH will take me to my next p/t appt. tomorrow and then on the 26th, I have the staples removed. So I'm hoping that all goes well all through these appts. into March. Thanks for all your love and care!
