Isn't SparkPeople.com wonderful? I really love it and it sure is helping me in my journey. This website was recommended to me when I asked my doctor how I could lose weight. Wow! I am so glad I asked her that question!
I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I needed to do his on my OWN.
Spark got me going and kicked in and I realized it was up to me to be STRONG and FOCUSED. Motivation is great on this site.

NOW - July 21, 2015 I began a New program on a Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. I went to a dietician and wellness doctor. They encouraged me to eat whole grain and healthier meals. I track daily and this plan keeps me going and motivated. I exercise more often now that I am completely retired and that helps too. I believe this is the best plan for me. Hope i can stay STRONG and get to goal in this new journey.

My Goals:
To lose the weight needed to be healthier and fit for Lifetime following a plan each day.







My Program:
Eating WHOLE Grains and following the Mediterranean plan for life and wellness.

Track all meals and portion control daily.

Exercising 5 days a week.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.

Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!


Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.

My faith and my family are very important to me.

I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.

I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and my Recreation center and 5 days a week go to classes and use the other benefits they provide.

I love to read, do the daily crossword puzzle, love music, walking outdoors and on a track.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

Dear Eileen, I appreciate your encouraging words all the time, when you comment on my fitness min., etc. I really need to remember you more that way. Happy Easter to you too. We'll be leaving for WA state after church this coming Sunday. We're so excited! It's been 4 years since we've been out there. So this will be so awesome to see relatives and friends again. We have our trip all planned to see closest loved ones. We'll be gone about 10 days or so. I hope you're doing well and keeping up with the fight!!

Hi,
Thanks for your blog comment! I love asparagus, too! Yes, Egg Substitute...Egg Beaters...comes in a carton in varying sizes! I love it! I also love the egg whites in the carton, too! I am sure you could make this recipe with real eggs and egg whites...but might be nice to try the Egg Beaters, since you never had them. I often make the egg beaters and egg whites right in the microwave for a quick protein for breakfast!

Hi,
I wasn't aware you were wearing the monitor...but you are in my thoughts and prayers! I have worn one but just for a couple days! I remember pushing the button and keeping the log! I hope you get answers!
Great to see you back exercising...is it tough to do wearing the monitor? Hang in there and be careful...
