Pens, paper and ink

I'm retired now but still enjoy doing freelance calligraphy and design work. I have 3 grown daughters and 7 grandchildren now who are a big part of my life. I love to travel especially in Europe. Collecting inkwells is another passion of mine.
. Losing weight would help me breath better with my tracheomalacia and perhaps improve my stamina even though I'm on oxygen 24/7. Since becoming ill 2 years ago, I've put on lots of weight and have limited exercise capabilities.

I don't check in that often so I hope I am not too late to ask about your progress MMCBRIDE88. I wanted to send this message just to you but couldn't find a page for you.
I also have been advised that weight loss is helpful for my breathing. Being on oxygen 24/7 is irritating so anything I can do to help myself is what is needed. Good luch with your stent. I had a tracheal stent in 2008 but it had to come out. I guess my body just rejected it.

Hello from a kindred spirit. It is not often that I run across a person who also has tracheomalacia. Mine is also in the broncho tubes as well. I am told that weight loss is essential before I undergo lung stenting. I am also told that significant weight loss may preclude the need for stenting. If I may be nosey .... are you doing better now? I hope so. My wife and I have high hopes that my weight loss will lead to improved lungs for me. This is my first day in SparkPeople so I am excted to see where I can go.
