I thank my precious Abba Father (Creator God) for all He has allowed, is allowing, & will allow in my life! May all the glory for any modest successes achieved on this lifestyle changing journey be His & His alone! Amen & Amen!

Life is good - it always has been - however, there is a special new sweetness to it since I determined to stop playing around & get serious about following my program.

Like I said - life is good!

P.S. ~

The 'Twin Visitors" photograph was taken in early July. I looked out the window & had the pleasant experience of being eye-to-eye with one of them. Their Mama was right with them in the trees outside the window. They were so adorably cute!

My dearly treasured "Mr.V" quickly got the camera & took a few photographs. I think it is so cute how one seems to be posing for the picture to be snapped, while his twin is eagerly following their Mama!

In my reflections here at Spark People about why I overeat, there are a couple of reasons that I have pinned down. When my emotions are running high is one. When my Dad was hospitalized and dying, I ate. The only thing that kept me from doing more of it was that I had to pay for my food.

The other trigger is "want." There was a time in my life when I didn't have any food except for a jar of yellow mustard and a can of green beans. The next food that was provided was a hog maw (stomach) which was stuffed with vegetables and baked. The stomach is like a sausage casing. It was delicious, but from then on, I ate more than I needed in case I might have to do without.

Other than that, the smell of food cooking can trigger me to eat, being idle and wanting a snack, or seeing an advertisement on TV can cause me to want what I have smelled or seen.

"As for dieting for the past forty-five years, my take on it is that you probably have saved yourself from packing on more pounds. At least, that is how I have looked at my past years of yo-yo dieting. Meaning that I believe without the effort (although obviously not enough to have kept the pounds off once dropped from my frame) that, with my tendency toward compulsive overeating, I could easily have been a hundred pounds heavier at any given point. So, even though I found myself discouraged with carrying recycled pounds at times, looking back I am happy that at least I did not give myself total free reign over the years. I hope that makes sense!"

YES, thank you for that! I probably would have kept packing on the pounds and packing in the food.

Thanks for your response to my blog, about yesterday's banking, believe me I have asked them time and time again about everything, when this all started I asked how long would this take and he said it should only take about 2 weeks, and here is has been since the 3rdr of Sept. Believe me wlhen I say I lost it yesterday, and was almost in tears I was so mad., and what did he say, I understand, I said no you don't understand, I wish you could walk a day in my life, with the head aches, the gut aches, the episodes with IBS-D, the panic attaches, the anxiousness and pacing then I will believe that he understands. And what did he say, Well, I can only do so much, what, well it was your employee that put us in this situation, so do something. Seriously.
