Nancy, so sorry to hear you are in so much pain with your knee! My heart goes out to you! I hope that the shots that are to come DO help!

Yes, we had 5 inches of rain overnight Thursday night, and the ground is so saturated that there were a lot of places that the water was running over main roads Friday morning. I took Darlene, our church member, to her dialysis appointment yesterday morning and was surprised to see all the water everywhere. Many fields were converted to lakes by all the rain. We wanted to mow a bit today, but couldn't, as there is still water lying in areas of our property and the ground is very soft where there is no water. So, no mowing done, and there is a possibility of more rain tonight. emoticon

Funny, I guess you are getting the hot weather we usually have! It has been way below normal here, this morning it was 63 degrees! (It was raining) We had storms and it rained all night, bright lightening and LOUD thunder! We even had some hail at one point. Hope your weather cools off a bit for you, soon.

Good news about the drug for your knee! I hope it works a long time so that you don't have to have surgery anytime soon.

    Have a great weekend! emoticon

SIX TINY STORIES WITH GREAT MESSAGES

{1} Once all the villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer the people gathered,
but only one boy came with an umbrella.
    That's FAITH.

{2} When you throw a baby in the air, she laughs because she knows you will catch her.
    That's TRUST.

{3} Every night we go to bed, without any assurance of being alive the next morning
but still we set the alarms to wake us up.
    That's HOPE.

{4} We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future.
    That's CONFIDENCE.

{5} We see the world suffering, but still we get married and have children.
    That's LOVE.

{6} On an old man's shirt was written a sentence 'I am not 90 years old....
I am sweet 16 with 74 years of experience.
    That's ATTITUDE.

Have a good week and live your life like the six tiny stories!

May you always have love to share, health to spare & friends who care...

    The Unknown Friends
    by Edgar A. Guest

We cannot count our friends, nor say
How many praise us day by day.
Each one of us has friends that he
Has yet to meet and really know,
Who guard him, wheresoe'er they be,
From harm and slander's cruel blow.
They help to light our path with cheer,
Although they pass as strangers here.

    These friends, unseen, unheard, unknown,
    Our lasting gratitude should own.
They serve us in a thousand ways
    Where we perhaps should friendless be;
They tell our worth and speak our praise
    And for their service ask no fee;
They choose to be our friends, although
We have not learned to call them so.

We cannot guess how large the debt
We owe to friends we have not met.
We only know, from day to day,
That we discover here and there
How one has tried to smooth our way,
And ease our heavy load of care,
Then passed along and left behind
His friendly gift for us to find.
