I am orginally from Catawba, NC. However I have been in Greensboro NC for 32 years. I have been in the medical field for over 15 years. I love to encourage those around me who weigh less than I do. My reason is because it is hard carrying a lot of weight so I try to encourage my friends to watch what they eat, exercise and join SparkPeople to be encouraged.

Here's a way to keep things moving in the right direction since we all want to stay fit and motivated during the busy (and calorie-filled) holiday season by pledging to run at least one mile every day, Thanksgiving through New Year's.
Pledge to run/walk at least one mile every day, from Thanksgiving (that's Thursday, November 22) through New Year's Day. Track your mileage and keep it moving!

Welcome!!! Please don't feel bad..... before I rejoined Spark a month ago I was working out 5x/week-weights and cardio since june and only lost 5 pounds! Just need proper guidance and motivation. I'm here for motivation if you need a Spark friend!!! Karen
