I am suffering a chronic inertia. I am going to take a deep breath and follow the advice of a motivational blogger (thank you, Natalie813!) and take a baby step today. I've been wearing my step counter daily, recording steps on the fitness page, and now I'm going to start counting 5-9 fruits and veggies daily. Water and fluids are not a problem-I don't do soda (except when I get sucked into the fast food black hole) and love my green tea and yerba mate;-)

My Goals:
Be Healthy!
Walk further than a mile.

My Program:
Vitamin supplements everyday. Exercise everyday, even if it's just counting my steps.
5-9 fruits and veggies. 10 cups of water or green tea.

Personal Information:
I am a just-turned-50 yr old native San Diegan, and I teach in the San Diego Unified School District. I live in a three generation household, with 3 rescue cats who believe they rule the universe (and try to prove it).

Other Information:
Love to swim, read and garden.

Hello Jackie,
Thank you for your message, and I wish you well on your weight loss journey,I agree baby steps at a time,thats the best way to change our eating habits,and create new positive ones that we can make a daily part of the rest of our lives.
I am at a standstill with my weight at the moment,but I do feel better and more active around the home.I am following Low Carb eating.and my blood sugars have lowered,and as I am type 2 diabetic. I am very pleased.

I have planned SD SparkTeam Monthly Outings in the past and have one scheduled for January 31st.....we are going BOWLING!!! Check for details on the team page!
