I avoided getting on the scale for several months because I knew it would not be good. A chance Facebook post by a friend in early December lead me to SparkPeople, which I had never heard of before. I decided to sign up, although at the time I had no intention of actually DOING anything about my weight. I weighed 304 at that time; more than I have ever weighed in my life. I decided right then to start paying attention to what I was eating. I managed to lose 3 lbs that month and started 2012 at 301 lbs. At a doctors appointment on Jan 20th I discovered my thyroid, blood sugar, and blood pressure are all above normal. That's when I decided that I needed to take control of my health. I needed to do more than just pay attention to what I was eating, I actually need to alter my intake. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Current Status:
HEYITSLISA is trying to get packed for our camping trip. Will be getting plenty of walking over the next couple of days. Not sure how I'll track it. SP doesn't have a "wandering around an amusement park" option!

Logging every bite that enters my mouth and staying under 1600 calories a day. Zumba twice a week, kickboxing once a week, spinning every other weekend, and walking as weather allows.
