Update-Sept 1, 2011
Over 2 years on Spark people and still going strong. Put my cat on wet food only, low carb diet and he is doing great. My dog Queenie is starting to show her age. A little slow getting around. Going to walk/run my 2nd 5K Oct 18.

My eating habits have improved, but my acid reflux has not. Right now keeping it under control is really my biggest challenge. I walk at least 5 times a week and am going to walk in the Detroit FreePress 5k on Oct. 17th. Go me!
My boarder collie, Queenie, is now 14 but she is none the worse for wear. My fat little cat on the other hand has diabetes. He is on a speacial diet. If that does help we may have to go to insulin. Cross your fingers for him.

Hi, I'm 51 year old woman. I live in Michigan, a most beautiful state. I don't have any childern, but I do have a boarder collie and a fat lazy cat. Anyone know where I can get a kitty treadmill?
I quit smoking on May 22 and after about 6 weeks noticed that I was putting on a little weight. Who would have thought that eating a bag of Fritos for dinner was a bad thing? I own alot of exercise equipment that I starting using again, but wanted to do a core workout as well. My goggle brought me here. I have only been logging on siince July 20th but have just fallen in love with Sparkpeople.

My Goals:
Exercise on a regular basis and start eating much healthier then I do now.

My Program:
Just changed things up a little since the cold weather is coming. Doing strenght training 3 days a week and cardio 2 days a week. Also started a daily stretching routine.

Other Information:
Did you know that if you smoke 1 pack of cigarettes a day at a cost $5.50 in 1 year you will have spent $2007.50?
20 minutes after your last cigarette nicotine levels in your blood began to fall. Within 2 days they are gone.

Yes, please let me know how it goes with Cass. I'm trying to avoid the feline diabetes with my big boy. He eats the same thing your boy does. 1 can of grain free wet food a day. He's also allowed 1/8 cup dry food and a couple Greenies.
What's the 28 day boot camp?
