My Goals:
I want to lose 120 pounds.

I want to add healthier nutrition choices and more movement into my lifestyle.

My Program:
Taking baby steps, one day at a time.

Eating lean protein, healthy carbs, fruit and vegetables 80% of the time. Giving myself some flexibility with the other 20% ... this has really helped me to stay focused because I no longer expect perfection and I continue to progress rather than give up.

Walking and strength training.


Personal Information:
I am 42 years old and mother of two children, ages 14 and 10.

I am 5'2" and need to lose 120 lbs. to be at a healthy weight.



Other Information:
I am the "artsy" type ... I enjoy drawing, scrapbooking, restoring ...just about anything I can get my hands on to be creative. I have a BA in Art History with an emphasis on museum studies, however, lifes twists and turns has led me to working with children in my current job in which there is never a dull moment and always a funny story to tell.

I grew up dancing(ballet, jazz, modern, tap) until my early 30's when being a mother took over. I really miss dancing and my body has definitely paid the price from not being involved in it anymore.

Hi There!!! It is really nice hearing from you. Well you got off the band wagon, and I got off with you. Don't beat yourself up just get back on the trail and Let's Go!!. We have to pray for strength on this one. I have been working out.... 15 minutes every day for 21 days to start a new habit....I did not do it for 3 days straight then started back. My eating has not been ideal. I need to work on that. I am willing to start over are you? So, remember it did not take a short period of time to gain the weight and it going to take us committing to health to get rid of it. One day at a Time!!! Turn on some music and just move..if that is all that you can handle right now. Let's get moving..walking....riding a bike...dancing...something to break up the habit we started. We can do it!!! Hi There, I am getting back in the swing of things...How are you doing? I not only got off the wagon. I got off the trail. Now, I getting back with the exercising...not tracking my food yet...Lord willing tomorrow...

Hi There friend, Thank you for your response. I have to admit that for the past two days I've been not present with what I need to do..Overeating...no exercise...however, I am back and on track. I will check into the plan you mentioned, and I have to get serious about portion control. It is great that you have found something that works for you. I have to read your Blog post.
