Hello!
My name is Josie, and you are welcome here!

My goal in life is to live vulnerably, authentically, and joyfully, knowing that belonging is something that is not negotiated with the world. Who I am is where I stand, and it is sacred ground. I will not compromise who I am to please others or fit in. I belong to myself above all other people. Belonging in a community is a wonderful thing, but I also know there will be times when I will need to stand alone. (I learned this from Brene' Brown's books.)

That said, it is a journey. This is something I am learning to do, and I will practice it until it becomes most natural to me. Then I will keep practicing it for the rest of my life.

I believe that if I focus on being exactly who I am, standing my ground according to my values, all the rest, including my weight, will fall into place.

My Goals:
In a nutshell, my goal is to move with complete ease...physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

*remove excess from my life
(Ditch the stuff, keep the people. Less really is more!)
*normal blood tests
*the least medication possible

*long term: be a very active, joyful elderly person


My Program:
*Relax, breathe, and remember being thin
*balanced meals (1500-1800 cal.)
*45 net carbs max at every meal
*track food daily
*water, water, water (10c.daily)
*intentional exercise (300 minutes/wk)
*sleep (8 hrs./night)
*eliminate excesses in my life
*dinner with friends at least once per month

*happily married to my best friend, with three adult children, three grandchildren, and two dogs

My WHY for Losing Weight

1. Why is losing weight important to me? Losing weight is important to me because being obese steals my ability to move freely and be healthy.

2. Why does that reason matter? It matters because if I can’t move freely and be healthy, I can’t be my best.

3. Why do I feel strongly about that reason? I feel strongly about this because I have been lost for so much of my life. Losing weight is part of finding the true me.
